Social Media. The Times They Are A’Changin’

I was dragged kicking and screaming into the world of social media. It didn’t take long, though, for me to see the benefits and worth to my clientsCreativity AND analytics are a good combination. It’s a new world out there. The days of pitching an article or blindly sending a press release to an editor with the hopes that it will be printed are pretty much gone. Don’t get me wrong, I do have clients who feel that and I agree, a well-written press release is still viable. But by and large speed is the name of the game. Look at all of the recaps that you see after a major trade show. They will go on for a month or more. Truth is, that show was old news the day it ended.

 Best Kept Secret

You see that term in product reviews or in online forums. It’s horrible! Your sales and marketing team have worked hard to build a cohesive brand awareness strategy and get a sales distribution plan in place. And you get called a “SECRET??” What is missing is that PR “nudge” that can make a product step out from BKS status and become the in-demand product that it was meant to be.

Storyville

I work to get your story told to the public. Whether that is the end user or the pro that is buying to sell to an end user, the story remains the same and it is important. I am a fanatic about communicating the successes of a company to the public. I embed myself, to a degree, with your marketing group and can call reps and sales staff to find out what’s going on that may prove to be newsworthy. Whether it is a quick Facebook post or a full-on press release, I can get it put together quickly.
